What IP44 Means for You
The IP (Ingress Protection) rating system defines the level of protection against solids and liquids. IP44 is the minimum rating required for bathroom installations in zones 2 and 3.
First Digit: Solid Protection
Protected against solid objects greater than 1mm in diameter, such as tools and small wires.
Second Digit: Liquid Protection
Protected against water splashes from any direction. Suitable for areas subject to direct water spray.
Bathroom Electrical Zones
